The Value Engineering Portfolio Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for ownership of one or more Value Engineering project portfolios, including project prioritization, resourcing, strategic roadmap planning and alignment with business unit leadership.

This position is part of the Value/Plastics/Packaging Engineering department, located in multiple sites globally, and will be an ONSITE role in Chaska, Minnesota. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Value Engineering PMO team and report to the Sr. Manager, Value Engineering PMO, responsible for directing and managing the IA Value Engineering portfolio. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be the liaison between Value Engineering and the business unit(s)

  • Manage Master Planning List (MPL), Rationalized Road Map (RRM), Project Priority List (PPL) for assigned portfolio(s)

  • Manage top projects as project manager, as time permits

  • Lead cross-functional Daily Management for Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) projects.

  • Manage direct material savings project funnel to achieve annual DMS targets.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with preferably 9+ years' experience in Project Management OR

  • Master’s degree in field with preferably7+ years' experience in Project Management OR

  • Doctoral degree in field with preferably 4+ years' experience in Project Management.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • PMP certification or equivalent

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Medical regulated experience or experience in a regulated environment.

  • Experience with design/development processes.
