Tokyo Electron Electrical Engineer Intern (Summer 2025) in Chaska, Minnesota

Job Description Position Summary: In this position, you will assist our Engineering department in implementing and improving the design of state-of-the-art equipment that is used in the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This is a 'hands on' position to assist in design, test, and rework of equipment. This internship is payrolled via payroll process provider. Responsibilities: Assist with design and development of systems that will monitor and control TEL equipment Assist with design and development of power distribution within TEL equipment Create and improve test procedures and run tests and experiments Assist in defining tool configurations and interfacing hardware and software Become familiar with semiconductor tools Learn key aspects of product compliance to industry specs including NFPA 79, SEMI standards and European Machinery and EMC directives Attend cross-functional team meetings to review project status, resource coordination, and weekly assignments Learn aspects of engineering project management Complete required safety training Qualifications: Completed second year of studies towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship Ability to work safely in a production or laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals and large, fast-moving machinery Some knowledge of the semiconductor industry Background in computer skills. (word processing, spreadsheet analysis, data graphing) Physical Requirements: Job duties may be performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
