Charter Oak-Ute Community School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of language arts curriculum and instruction tailored to middle school students. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with middle school language arts curriculum standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including English language learners and students with special needs.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate language arts with other subject areas.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and provide support as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in language arts education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Language Arts for middle school grades.
- Proven experience teaching middle school language arts, with a strong understanding of adolescent development.
- Knowledge of current educational trends, research-based instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment.
