Vanguard Senior Workday Integration Developer in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Senior Workday Integration Developer assists in the support and management of end-to-end technical system integrations between HR Technology (i.e., Workday, Paradox, Degreed, ServiceNow) and internal or 3rd party enterprise architecture. Leads technical design, configuration, testing and support, production elevation and ongoing post-production support of solutions that drive our strategic business initiatives and technology portfolio optimization efforts.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain technical solutions to support and meet business goals and objectives. Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and optimization.

  • Serve as a technical expert for solutions within the products/domains supported and is responsible for translating business needs into system design, proof-of-concept, data analysis, testing and deployment activities. Ensure consistency across systems in data transformation, mapping, and processes.

  • Develop and adhere to configuration and optimization standards. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including design documents, change records, and run books.

  • Support the accuracy and integrity of data by ensuring integrations comply with data security, privacy, compliance, and regulatory standards.

  • Proactively monitor integrations, perform maintenance, and conduct troubleshooting of issues to minimize downtime and increase performance. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate and resolve issues.

  • Interface with cross functional team members and communicate at the appropriate technical level for each audience.

  • Thoroughly understand and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verify that deliverables meet requirements.

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What it Takes:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Lead / Architect role related to WD Integration development in Core HCM and/or Talent/Recruiting domains required.

  • Minimum of five years implementing integration solutions and using Workday Studio and XSLT for data transformation required.

  • 5+ years demonstrated ability in data management, report building and software development, including optimizations for creating maximum efficiency in performance.

  • Expertise with EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net, SOAP, Rest or other integration technology required.

  • Strong proficiency in Workday integration technologies, including Workday Studio, EIBs, and custom report transformations, Workday Security, Business Process administration, alert notification, advanced report writing and calculated fields.

  • Understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including collecting requirements, design, development, testing, and move to production processes.

  • Workday Pro Integration Certification or previous Workday Implementer Certification preferred.

  • Experience with Workday Extend, Orchestrate and/or AWS preferred.
