The Senior ServiceNow Developer will join a team of ServiceNow system administrators and developers in providing development and operational support of The Hartford’s ServiceNow platform.
The developer will work closely with stakeholders and team members in designing and delivering solutions within the platform, develop enhancements to various ServiceNow and custom applications, develop and modify service catalog items, create and maintain the team’s process documents and provide general ServiceNow administrative duties. The developer will also be responsible for issue resolution and troubleshooting of items in the incident queue, as well as researching ServiceNow functionality as required.
Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform following best practices
Configure and develop customizations to various applications within ServiceNow such as Service Catalog, ITSM, Asset Mgt, CSM, GRC, Vulnerability, BCM, SamPro, Portal, Workspaces
Proven ability to automate business requests utilizing Service Catalog, Flow Designer/IntegrationHub and workflow/orchestration
Utilize Agile methodology and the ServiceNow Agile application
Provide functional and performance testing
Establish and manage integrations in ServiceNow utilizing ServiceNow table APIs, scripted Web Services and custom REST APIs
Import data into ServiceNow utilizing Scheduled Jobs, Flows, Import Sets and Transform maps
Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
Research and apply available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customizations function as expected
Manage incidents/problems related to the ServiceNow platform
Identify, analyze and resolve data and system issues of intermediate complexity
Develop, validate and execute comprehensive test plans
Provide mentorship for other developers
Provide guidance to process owners and users
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5+ years developing within ServiceNow
Fundamental understanding of ITIL business processes
Experience with ITSM, Service Catalog, Asset Management, SamPro
Nice to have: Vulnerability, BCM, GRC
Experience working closely with others to capture business requirements, translate them into technical specifications and develop them within ServiceNow
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$108,800 - $163,200
