Siemens Energy Senior Program Manager - CVE Digitalization and Tools in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) function is the driver of cost transparency and optimization for externally purchased material, components, and systems in the global Siemens Energy product portfolio.

As Senior Program Manager – CVE Digitalization and Tools you will play a critical role in driving efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation within the CVE function in Procurement. Your responsibilities will span across the overall digitalization program in CVE consisting of various projects, initiatives, and cross-functional collaborations.

In this role you will work in a diverse and dynamic team, collaborate with cross-functions and manage external service providers. With a wide exposure across organizational departments, you will operate as a business partner towards our internal customers and stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational needs. Excellence in automation, workflow optimization, and leveraging advanced data science methodologies are key aspects of this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Digitalization and Tools Roadmap Development:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and implement a strategic roadmap for digitalization and tools adoption within CVE.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation, data-driven decision-making, and workflow optimization.

  • Program Management:

  • Lead the overall CVE Digitalization Program for developments and improvements.

  • Ensure alignment with business needs and requirements.

  • Lead internal/external project managers/staff in their responsibility for project executions and lead selected initiatives yourself.

  • Data Science and Technology Application:

  • Leverage advanced data science methodologies to enhance CVE impact.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data science technologies, including AI and ML.

  • Apply data science concepts to define and refine new tools.

  • Automation and Workflow Excellence:

  • Strive for excellence in automation, reducing manual efforts, and streamlining workflows.

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and drive efficiency gains.

  • External services and contracts

  • Manage external contracts for CVE applications, with appropriate scoping and licenses.

  • Manage external service providers (incl. labor) for CVE

What You Bring

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science).

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, PMP) preferred.

  • Experience/capabilities:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in relevant fields in Procurement, CVE, Program management or related roles.

  • Proven track record in digital transformation, tool development, and implementation.

  • Familiarity with data science technologies, including AI and ML.

  • Strong project management skills, including stakeholder management technics.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Experience managing external vendors and cross-functional teams.

  • Relevant technical product knowledge and experience around CVE methodologies is required.

  • Comfortable driving change and influencing stakeholders.

  • Curious, pro-active and driven by results

  • Fluent in professional English is a must. Additional language, e.g. German/Spanish is a plus.
