Deloitte Mobile Lead Developer in Charlotte, North Carolina

Work you'll do/Responsibilities

  • Design complete and advanced solutions for mobile.

  • Designing, deploying, and managing mobile applications that can run on multiple platforms.

  • As a Lead, you are responsible for owning the complete application/program technically end to end right from requirement till deployment.

  • Manage a team of developers and drive delivery technically with team.

  • Serve as specialist with expertise in particular technology/industry domain/a process / application / product. You are responsible for functional/technical track of a project.

  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness.

  • Guiding team in building pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.

  • Recommend best practices on mobile app development frameworks and potential new tools that can be used to ease development and improve end consumer experience.

  • Collaborating with design, development, and customer service teams to properly understand client requirements and build top-notch apps within the stipulated timeframe.

  • Think from end user's perspective and focus on improving the overall product experience

  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management

  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Our Digital Foundry & Operations works with the Customer & Marketing group to bring a flexible capability and fluid capacity model to the delivery of small technology projects and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

  • Experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse.

  • Experience with Epic MyChart SDK in the development of mobile solutions.

  • Experience with versioning tools such as git/github and gitlab.

  • Experience with build tools such as gradle and maven.

  • Experience with building CICD pipelines using tools such as Concourse, Jenkins, Gitlab, and Travis CI.

  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.

  • Possess overall 7+ years of experience in Mobile development and at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a React Native Engineer or in a similar role.

  • Hands-on experience on React Native APIs, ReactJS, Javascript, ECMAScript (OOJS) and JSX.

  • Thorough understanding of React Native development tools like IDEs, Chrome debugging tools, ESLint, React Native CLI, Watchman, package manager etc.

  • Understanding of iOS and Android Code signing process and deployment model.

  • Excellent exposure and expertise in mobile application design patterns.

  • Hands-on experience on iOS or Android is an added advantage.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new development environments and changing business requirements.

  • Well-versed in all aspects of JavaScript and its patterns.

  • In-depth knowledge of UI/UX designs and wireframes.

  • Posses an expert-level understanding of React.js and its advance patterns.

  • Expert with Gradle, XCode, IntelliJ and other native build tools.

  • Experience working with automated testing suites like Mocha, Jest, etc.

  • Deeply understand REST APIs, offline storage, and the document request model

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    Preferred

  • Hands-on experience on iOS or Android is an added advantage.

  • Strong communication, influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

  • Experience working in a consulting environment.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities

  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products

  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision

  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills

  • Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
