How you make a difference
The Mental Health Clinician independently assesses individuals from a clinical and psychosocial perspective. They provide group and individual therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation, make professional judgments of clinical and psychosocial needs, and offer crisis assessment and intervention. This position is crucial for timely documentation of services that comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Mental Health Clinician collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and may lead treatment planning and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities
Provides individualized care and treatment consistent with age and life span development, ensuring tailored interventions that promote holistic well-being.
Delivers treatment to individuals and groups according to established performance standards.
Documents service delivery and progress within established standards and timeframes, ensuring comprehensive records that support effective client care and interdisciplinary communication.
Conducts required assessments and provides crisis assessment and intervention services.
Participates in multidisciplinary teams and may handle treatment and discharge planning for assigned individuals.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Required: Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy.
Experience:
- Preferred: Two (2) years of experience with the population served.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Required: Licensed or license-eligible in the appropriate discipline.
