Xylem Manager, Internal Controls – Transformation Projects, Policy and Training in Charlotte, North Carolina

Role Overview: As the Manager in our Internal Controls Group for Transformational Projects, Policy and Training, you will drive the successful execution of internal control initiatives, control enhancements and digital transformation efforts within our organization. Your focus will be on project management, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and adherence to best practices. Further, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures, overseeing training and communication efforts, and administering tools related to internal controls. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and a deep understanding of financial processes to safeguard our organization's assets, maintain financial reporting compliance, and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership : Lead cross-functional teams in designing, implementing, and monitoring projects to completion.

  • Metrics and Reporting : Define project success criteria, track progress, and report on key performance indicators.

  • Process Optimization : Streamline and centralized control processes, leveraging project management methodologies.

  • Policy and Procedure Development : Develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory and financial reporting requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Regularly review and update these documents to reflect changes in the organization's operations.

  • Training and Communication : Design and execute training programs to educate employees and stakeholders on internal controls, compliance, and related policies. Ensure that the organization's personnel are aware of their responsibilities and understand the importance of internal controls.

  • Microsoft Power Platform Administration/Governance : Oversee and administer tools, systems, and technologies related to internal controls. This includes identifying, implementing, and maintaining software solutions and applications that enhance internal control processes.

  • Quality Assurance : Ensure controls meet regulatory requirements and align with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields.

  • Relevant certifications (CIA, CPA, CISA, SOX, PMP) are advantageous.

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in controls-related projects.

  • Familiarity with financial and operational risk management principles.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Microsoft Power Platform : Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot.

  • Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for enhancing control effectiveness and efficiency and business processes.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in managing controls and process enhancement projects, driving results, and meeting deadlines.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
