Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong industrial electrical experience. You will troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, PLCs, and repair hydraulics and pneumatics. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers. • Connecting power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connecting cables and wires between machines and equipment. • Replacing faulty electrical components on machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positioning sensing devices. • Diagnosing and repairing or replacing faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. • Replacing electric motor bearings and rewiring motors. • Planning layout of wiring and installing wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. • Diagnosing and replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. • Cleaning work area, tools, and equipment.

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Work Environment

You will work on a 2-2-3 shift pattern with 1 Day Electrician, 1 Night Electrician, and 1 Mechanic. Training will be provided on the first shift. The facility is not climate-controlled, and you must wear steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and risk of electrical current. The noise level is usually high.
