We are strategic partners and advisors to Operations and Human Resources in matters involving Talent Reviews, Workforce Planning, Leadership Assessment and Development, and Performance Management. The Learning & Talent Development Operations Specialist reports directly to the Director, Learning & Talent Development, Systems & Analytics. Working closely with the Talent Management and Learning teams, this position serves in a Talent Management Center of Excellence supporting a systematic cycle of people processes across Compass Group USA including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning.
This role supports the design, documentation and implementation of programs and processes for workforce planning, performance management, talent reviews, employee assessment, and succession planning. The specialist will also collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to support the Talent Management team. The specialist may also partner with HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion and Human Resource Business Partners to deliver solutions aimed at identifying employee readiness, talent gaps, and retention risks among high potential associate populations across Compass Group.
Responsibilities:
Drives execution of core talent management processes (i.e.: performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning) by supporting Talent Management Sr. Directors and Talent Managers.
Process expert and point of contact for stakeholders with questions or concerns regarding execution or launch of process
Evaluates talent and development process and offerings for alignment with key business drivers to support continuous improvement. Makes recommendations to leadership.
Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (SuccessFactors), Visier, Learning Management System (Totara), management and employee surveys, employment records and other sources.
Uses data and industry research to identify and recommend reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics related to talent and development initiatives.
Prepares reports of data results, presenting and providing insights of analyses to Learning & Talent Development team and/or stakeholder.
Troubleshoots issues, asks probing questions, works to understand root cause and maintains consistent communication to ensure an excellent internal and external stakeholder experience.
Support Learning & Talent Development projects, programs and strategic initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS (SuccessFactors) and LMS system (Totara) for the primary purpose of compiling data and running reports.
Strong expertise with basic office software applications required, especially Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, macros, and vlookups) and PowerPoint expertise (develop clean, aesthetic presentations with the right information and graphics).
Experience interacting with senior leaders and facilitating meetings.
Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills.
1-3 years of human resource generalist experience preferred.
