Job Description
To work closely with front office staff to ensure maximum front office operating efficiency in maintaining high standards of our guest experiences.
Responsibilities
To be proficient with all check-in and check-out policies and procedures.
Must be experienced and empowered to handle various guest scenarios.
Ensuring all hotel policies and procedures are being followed; delegating shift responsibilities and checklists, as well as assisting and guiding the front office team in daily duties.
Understanding how to and being able to balance the hotel's reservations, room types and special accommodations.
Assisting with continuously encouraging and boosting the morale of the front office.
Recognizing outstanding performances by associate by participating in the Omni Service Champion program.
Will assist in weekly inventory counts.
To be familiar with all technical equipment and computer systems related to the front desk.
To be familiar with all hotel facilities, offerings and local area attractions.
Will be responsible for assisting in the training of new associates.
Must be familiar with shift checklist and be able to provide leadership in absence of the Assistant Front Office Manager or Director of Front Office.
Understand and be able to perform rooms control duties.
Qualifications
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including AM, PM, weekends and holidays.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Have attained a high propensity for customer service.
Previous hotel front desk agent experience, as well as cash handling experience.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Will require working overnight shift when needed.
Computer skills - ability to learn Synergy, Opera, Visionline, Alice, Microsoft Office and all other necessary software.
