About the Opportunity

As Field Service Advisor for ELGi Portable Compressors,for providing technical support and training to channel partners and users of ELGi Portable Compressors. In addition, the Field Service Advisor will process warranty claims, collect data in the field, and relay information to management for quality improvement.

As Field Service Advisor for ELGi Portable Compressors, you will:

  • Troubleshoot technical portable air compressor issues including, but not limited to:
    • Offering timely technical service support to dealers, users, and internal customer service group via phone, e-mail, etc.
    • Traveling to customer and distributor locations on an as-needed basis (35% travel)
  • Manage warranty claims including, but not limited to:
    • Processing warranty claims from dealers
    • Following the warranty process and parameters for warranty payment
    • Handling all warranty claims and providing guidance to dealers on filing warranty claims
  • Interface with dealer teams including, but not limited to:
    • Working with the technical service department to resolve issues and assist in portable air compressor product improvements
    • Deliver training presentations to dealer service teams on ELGi's portable air compressor product line
  • Receive shipments of and assemble portable air compressors
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned

About You

The Field Service Advisor role may be a match for you if you have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 4+ years' related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and OEM diagnostic software
  • Technical proficiency with diesel-driven construction equipment, specifically air compressors
  • Ability to read wiring, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and diagrams
  • Solid understanding of J1939 Protocol
  • Ability to develop reports, work instructions, training materials, and presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
