Role Overview
Director of Operations – Airline Lounges
This is a remote position with up to 75% travel initially and thereafter up to 50%
Highly prefer candidates that reside in Atlanta or Charlotte.
Will also consider candidates on the East Coast or Centrally located near a major airport hub.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, the airport lounges are dedicated spaces for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy chef created dishes or order from the full-service bar which serves premium wine and spirits.
Sodexo Live! is seeking to add a Director of Operations – Airline Lounges to support an established prominent client. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will oversee and direct the culinary food and beverage operations for our large, multi-site client, ensuring successful operations and strong client relationships. This role will have 5 direct reports (Executive Chefs, Facility Managers, Marketing, Safety & Beverage Manager).
The Director of Operations will oversee culinary lounge operations in multiple cities throughout the country (New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, and London). Responsibilities will focus on health and safety culture . Position will have direct responsibility for all health, safety, and cleanliness performance, including audits and compliance.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain strong client relationships promoting the Clients for Life philosophy'.
Work proactively with clients and Sodexo Live! Vice President of Operations and wider Leadership team including in all matters relating to contract and account operations to establish, maintain and grow a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship.
Steer and enhance quality standards ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and KPI performance.
Conduct audits, analyze data, and create action plans based on findings to continually improve Sodexo’s performance.
Conduct client or contract specific reporting and analysis to ensure meeting or exceeding standards and KPIs and identify areas of opportunity and create a plan and partner with leadership team to implement.

What You Bring
Superior leadership and organizational skills. Plus, a proven track record ideally within the airline lounge arena, and/or within top tier hotels, cruise lines or similar food and beverage experience with a focus on exceptional high-end hospitality and elevated service standards.
Thorough knowledge of food safety and public health codes. Such as Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health & Safety audits and regulatory compliance.
A compelling and energetic executive presence along with a great attention to detail and the ability to excel within the client team environment to work both horizontally and vertically within both organizations.
Knowledge of the latest trends and innovations to drive client value and generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance and process.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience: 0-7 years
