Job Description:

Applies technical or product specific accounting knowledge to ensure strong financial controls and reporting output; Approves resolution of accounting exceptions for product / specialty – transaction-level orientation; Review and approve one or more of the following: data, GL balances, disclosures, SEC reporting.

The Transfer Pricing Center of Excellence (“CoE”), a part of the Global Financial Control (GFC)-Corporate Controller organization within the CFO Group, is responsible for calculating, booking, and reporting of multiple Service Fee arrangements for the enterprise, prepare and analyze tax transfer pricing documentations and facilitate tax transfer pricing governance routines. Primary responsibility for this role is to ensure accuracy and timeliness in relevant data sourcing, calculations, journal bookings, reporting, and documentation. Also review day-to-day operations of the India-based team. This role will interface closely with Transfer Pricing Executive in GFC Tax, Legal Entity Controllers and Business Finance Controllers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and review service fee data sourcing, calculations, and bookings.

  • Provide and review analysis and commentary to facilitate service fee reviews.

  • Act as escalation point to resolve operational data or other issues emanating from the team.

  • Provide data and analysis for TP documentation, regulatory and tax audit queries.

  • Work with Corporate Tax and other stakeholders to design and implement new and improved TP models.

  • Senior individual contributor with added responsibilities to oversee operations of the India-based team.

  • Design process controls

  • Identify and implement process standardization and improvements.

  • Help recruit, train, and retain resources with adequate skills for the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum10 years experience in Finance/ Accounting

  • Bachelors' degree or relevant work experience

  • Demonstrates ability to influence individuals spread over global teams both with and without direct authority

  • Prior people management experience ideal

  • Accounting and Controllership

  • Excellent spreadsheet skills

  • Good working knowledge of financial services including various components like capital, traders, related operations

  • Self-driven, curious to learn, assimilate and able to draw conclusions

  • Confident interactions and presentations over email, phone, video conference and in person

  • Team player

  • Organized, with ability to prioritize demands from multiple stakeholders, and diligent documentation of discussions and learnings

Desire Skills:

  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting preferred

  • 15+ years experience in Finance/ Accounting preferred

  • CPA preferred

  • Alteryx / Tableau / Power query are a plus

  • Accounting and Controllership background ideally with Tax Transfer Pricing experience

  • Knowledge of Bank of America’s general ledger environment; added awareness of any subledgers is a plus
