Responsibilities

As a AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2101-9, you will interpret and administer laws, regulations regarding incentive pay; approving authority to determine eligibility/entitlement to Aircrew Incentive Pay, Career Enlisted Force Incentive Pay, Hazardous Duty Incentive Pay, on all aviation related duties for personnel assigned to the Air National Guard unit; control, monitor the resource/training requirements of assigned rated/non-rated aircrew for mission accomplishment; safety of flight; receive direction/coordinates aircrew management changes, suspension/disqualification actions, changes in Flying Status Codes; research, validates, interpret Air Force Instruction, Mission Design Series specific medical; physiological requirements, flying, ground training requirements; compare with higher headquarters mission training requirements to create the ARMS training table; translate these requirements into aircrew training tables, profiles, reports, utilizes products to provide information to aircrew, senior leadership, training coordinators, commanders, outside sources to include Numbered Air Force, Major Commands, HQs U.S. Air Force to show training requirements, overall training objectives, accomplishments; develop/implement unique applications programs using base-level computers to meet the specific needs of the unit; design, develop, modify reports using System Query Language, locally developed computer programs, ad hoc queries to provide management with data retrieved through selective manipulation of the database; analyze management report products to determine program adequacy/accuracy, negative trends, initiate corrective actions; perform the testing, evaluation of new ARMS patches, updates, releases/performs the installation of ARMS on computers for new users or replacement equipment; communicate with Air Force Major Command points of contact regarding ARMS updates for problems, desired changes to system, ensure ANG use of the ARMS program is compatible with the AF standards, aviation objectives, policies, plans, concepts; perform Flight Services Specialist work within the Air Operations Division which is responsible for coordinating/maintaining liaisons with military, federal, local agencies concerning airspace utilization, flying operations, aircraft emergencies, search and rescue operations, natural disasters; work independently to provide aircrews with information/assistance for planning/conducting safe flight operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight. Experience in pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. *For positions requiring supervisory functions; experience which included responsibility for the supervision and management of personnel.

Substitution of Education for specialized experience: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
