Job Title: Automation District Service Manager
Summary:
Supervise the Aircond Controls Service Technician activities to assist growth and ensure each technician reaches their full potential. Provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality while maintaining the expected level of safety, efficiency, and profitability for the company.
Location:
This role can be based out of any of our Georgia or Carolina locations:
Georgia: Smyrna, Buford, Dalton, LaGrange, or Macon
North Carolina: Charlotte or Raleigh
South Carolina: Columbia or Greenville
Travel:
50%
Travel will be required to travel to branch offices and site-based customers located throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the Controls Support Representative.
Promote a safe work environment and a zero-injury safety culture.
Assist Control Technicians with technical problems and mentor them.
Train technicians in the Aircond philosophy and its core values.
Help identify additional training on emerging technologies, industry trends, and new products.
Promote self-discipline, self-development, and enthusiasm for our technicians.
Ensure the technicians properly complete work orders and provide a detailed summary of all work performed on time.
Ensure the technicians know how to properly identify and make recommendations for needed services and/or repairs.
Monitor and apply management reports to increase productivity and drive profitability.
Perform monthly planned preventive maintenance and service repair quality inspections.
Monitor and control the tool, uniform, and other budget items.
Monitor and/or approve technician time: hours worked ST/OT, Unapplied, Billable, Contract, and Vacation.
Review the billable work of each technician regularly, and work to promote increased awareness for quotable repairs, upgrades, and planned maintenance opportunities to improve profitability.
Consistently review preventive maintenance contracts to ensure client value, satisfaction, and company profitability.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong knowledge in the operation and overall structure of various building management systems.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Controls Technician.
Two years of experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
Working knowledge in multiple control manufacturer systems and have training and/or certifications including Tridium Niagara N4 or AX, Schneider EcoStruxure, and Distech.
Ability to perform the physical duties of a technician to assist with complex jobs in the field.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Able to read and interpret various labor and financial reports.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
