About this role

The Carrier Finance department, located in Charlotte, NC has an opening for an Associate Director, FP&A reporting directly to the CFO for North America Commercial HVAC (CHVAC NA) organization. This role will support the CHVAC NA Finance team and collaborate with functional and business leaders. The role will be responsible for overseeing and consolidating financial reporting and planning across the CHVAC NA business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting as well as preparation of action plans and recommendations for business and operational decisions.

  • Direct month-end close process, monthly forecast, and annual plan process. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions.

  • Lead and develop the CHVAC NA FP&A organization including setting up and optimizing processes and systems.

  • Business partnering with functional departments to prepare, analyze, and review department spend and share corrective actions

  • Lead large scale, cross-functional projects with significant impact on business processes or business financials

  • Develop, test, and document innovative process automation solutions for Finance

  • Provide support for senior executive presentations

  • Perform special projects and ad hoc business/financial analysis where needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10+ years of Financial Management and Financial Systems experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA / CPA preferred

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting/forecasting processes, financial/cost analysis.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present his or her recommendations effectively and drive actionable results in the organization.

  • Proven track record of establishing a strategic business partner relationship with general management and functional leaders of a multi-divisional organization.

  • Solid interpersonal skills, including ability/desire to communicate (verbal and written) and collaborate across all functions and organizational levels.

  • Proven ability to delegate, execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset to meet reporting deadlines.

  • Strong ability to lead and develop diverse teams to achieve high-performance levels in a dynamic, changing environment.

  • Advanced PowerPoint presentation experience and Excel knowledge is a must; Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Business Objects, and SAP
