The role of a Cloud Consulting Senior Project Manager requires an experienced project management professional with strong business acumen, technical competency in SaaS-based software and leadership skills for successful delivery of Oracle HCM solutions (software + services).

The Cloud Consulting Senior Project Manager works closely with Delivery teams, Solution Architects, Sales, Customer Success Managers, and Services Operations to ensure customer technology deployments & projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to the project plan scope. The Cloud Consulting Senior Project Manager will also identify and mitigate any risks throughout the project(s) s/he manages.

The Cloud Consulting Senior Project Manager must be able to manage cross-functional teams from different Oracle departments and demonstrate diplomacy and the ability to manage demanding customers. They must demonstrate leadership and motivational skills and mentor other members of the PMO. The Cloud Consulting Senior Project Manager actively contributes to continuous PMO process improvements and publishes contributions to the knowledge base.

Responsibilities

Specifically, s/he will be responsible for deliverables at every phase of the software implementation lifecycle, as well as:

  • Responsible for project execution, financial performance, and deliverable execution within agreed project parameters.

  • Plan, monitor, manage and communicate stages, activities, tasks and status of the project/program including financial performance.

  • Support engagement Delivery Lead to ensure projects are delivered successfully with high quality outcomes.

  • Responsive to and resolves complex project team and client escalations from within the project team and client organization and raising to leadership when necessary.

  • Liaise with the Portfolio Manager, and actively participate in the Quality Management / Assurance process including supporting and resolving the results/actions identified within the team

  • Execute on defined scope and manage scope changes as identified including leveraging a comprehensive change control process to identify, quantify and escalate impactful changes appropriately.

  • Manage overall delivery acceptance process including client approvals.

  • Partners with client for overall operational and financial metrics.

  • Aligns with Oracle's Delivery organization to drive enablement and adherence to deployment practices and principles.

  • Supports the client for a transition to a run state including assisting client with use of Oracle support vehicles including Customer Connect.

  • Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationship with the engagement Delivery Lead and client.

  • Accountable for outcome of scope management in support of project goals, client vision, and Oracle account strategy.

  • Support the facilitation of negotiations within the project team and client related to scope as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of leading and managing implementations of various sizes and scale

  • Experience in Cloud Based implementations and an advocate for common use of our TCM+ methods and leading practices

  • Demonstrated experience at building trust and influencing at the project team (internal and external) and Oracle support function levels

  • Experience in developing and motivating project leaders and high-performing project teams in various sized engagements

  • Experienced /expert in project management

  • Understands SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS leading practices.

  • Working knowledge of the Oracle HCM solutions.

  • Understanding of project financial and budgetary principals.

  • Functionally astute in using project management software (MS project, Excel, Visio) other analytical and statistical software packages and tools.

  • Formal Program/Project Management training & certification or in pursuit of CAPM/PMP certification.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field a plus.

  • Travel Component: approx. 25% travel may be necessary to be successful in this role.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
