Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Teller in our Banking industry branch located in Charleston, South Carolina, 29407, United States. As a Teller, you'll be the foundation of our customer service operations, handling monetary transactions with precision and efficiency, while also providing assistance to customers with their banking needs.
Responsibilities:
• Handle cash transactions, including receiving cash deposits and dispensing cash in withdrawals.
• Verify the authenticity and accuracy of deposits made by customers.
• Process check cashing requests ensuring adherence to bank procedures.
• Assist customers in opening new accounts, providing detailed information regarding our services.
• Address customer inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
• Use Microsoft Excel for maintaining and updating customer records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account activity.
• Ensure balance of cash at the end of the day, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Follow all bank financial and security regulations and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in cash handling and balancing
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting
• Ability to accurately process cash deposits and withdrawals
• Strong mathematical skills to handle transactions and balance cash drawer
• Excellent customer service skills to assist clients with their banking needs
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy of transactions
• Ability to adhere to privacy and confidentiality guidelines
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain banking procedures and policies to customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
