Pharmacy Technician (Inpatient)
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will assist a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense sterile Intravenous (IV) doses. This role involves sterile IV preparation of both hazardous and non-hazardous doses, receiving and stocking incoming supplies, preparing labels and routine prepacked orders. The candidate may also be expected to perform some clerical duties related to the department.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site:
This is a fully on-site position in Charleston, South Carolina.
Work Environment:
The selected candidate will work in an inpatient hospital pharmacy. The role involves rotating between the IV room, unit dose, and Omnicell. In the unit dose, the technician will run the carousel, make hourly deliveries to the entire hospital, and ensure everything is stocked appropriately. In the Omnicell, the technician will pull medications out of the carousel or controlled substance manager, deliver, restock, rotate stock, and accurately document expiration dates. In the IV room, the technician will be responsible for filling IV & Chemo bags, processing 300-600 IVs/day, and should be prepared to be on their feet all day. The team consists of 60 total members between pharmacists/technicians with 10-20 people per shift.
