Always Best Care Senior Services Pet Friendly Caregiver in Charleston, South Carolina
Always Best Care Charleston is now seeking caring, compassionate, pet friendly caregivers to work with us in providing exceptional in-home care to seniors, allowing them to age in place and maintain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible. We currently serve the tri-county area, with the majority of our clients being in Charleston County. Seeking Caregivers Who: • Are reliable, dependable, honest and caring • Communicate effectively with clients, their families and office staff • Have a valid driver’s license, car insurance and can drive to clients’ homes • Are able to recognize changes in their clients and be able to alert proper personnel when necessary • Are pet friendly!!! Major Responsibilities: • Provide care and companionship to the agency’s clients in accordance with the care plan. • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL’s) in a safe and beneficial manner. • May be required to perform light housekeeping. • May be required to prepare meals. • May be required to take clients to appointments or run errands. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Must be able to function with minimal supervision. • Must maintain a professional relationship with the client. • Must pass a background check with satisfactory results. • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. • Must possess effective communication skills. Other Requirements and Qualifications: • Must be dependable, trustworthy and reliable • Able to work an average of 20-40 hours per week. • Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day. • Able to lift 20-30 pounds.
