Beacon Hill's client is seeking an HR Generalist to join the team. The ideal candidate has 2+ years experience in full-cycle, multistate payroll and benefits administration. This is a great opportunity for Payroll & Benefits experts looking to take the next step. This is a fully onsite position in Chanhassen, MN. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Essential Functions:

  1. Recruitment and Hiring:
    • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for all hourly open positions.
    • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
    • Coordinate and conduct recruitment for entry-level and non-exempt positions.
    • Review applications and resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, extend offers, and schedule onboarding.
    • Maintain accurate records of job openings and applications.
  2. New Hire Orientation:
    • Implement new hire orientation programs and provide recommendations for improvements.
  3. Payroll Administration:
    • Administer the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Process employee status changes and payroll adjustments.
    • Address employee inquiries, rectify processing errors, and issue off-cycle payments as needed.
    • Monitor timecards, calculate overtime, and provide payroll reports to managers.
  4. Recordkeeping and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
    • Establish separate file systems for personnel, benefits, employment selection, and I-9 forms.
    • Conduct record audits and prepare mandatory reports.
  5. Leave Management:
    • Answer employee questions and prepare documentation for leave requests, such as FMLA and Short-term Disability.
  6. Employee Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits processes, including planning informational meetings and preparing materials.
    • Collect and submit benefit information to insurance carriers or brokers.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding health and welfare benefit programs, conducting research when necessary.
    • Process benefit-related terminations, including COBRA continuation.
    • Review and approve monthly invoices from insurance providers.
  7. Special Events Assistance:
    • Assist in planning and executing special events as required.

Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related experience. 2. Thorough knowledge of employment laws (Federal and State) and Human Resources best practices. 3. Four years of related human resources experience. 4. One year of payroll experience, preferably working with Paylocity. 5. Two years of experience in recruiting. 6. Experience working with or a strong knowledge of record retention.
