Wells Fargo Lead Software Engineer, Internal Generative AI User Experience in CHANDLER, Arizona

About this role:
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to design and develop engaging, secure, and user-friendly applications that integrate generative AI technologies. This role is within Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) and will focus on delivering seamless frontend experiences, robust APIs, and collaborative solutions that redefine how Wells Fargo employees interact with internal tools and systems.
In this role, you will:
Build generative AI-driven experiences that empower and delight internal Wells Fargo users, collaborating with designers to implement highly usable client applications and User Experience API services that drive them.
Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of React experience.
4+ years of TypeScript experience.
4+ years of CSS/SCSS experience.
2+ years of JEST experience.
2+ years of GIT experience.
2+ years of building web applications which use NPM packages.
Experience building multi-tier front-end web applications.
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of C# experience.
2+ years of experience building applications with Webpack.
2+ years of various ESLint packages.
2+ years of working with GIT.
2+ years of experience building REST/APIs within .NET Core.
2+ years of experience consuming SQL Server with .NET Core.
2+ years of experience using MSTest.
1+ year with working with WebSockets/SignalR.
Experience with modern web and API endpoint technologies, with ability to quickly adapt to React.JS and C# code bases.
Experience developing large-scale, enterprise-level frontend applications.
Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into user-facing tools to create engaging, productive experiences.
Experience building multi-tier back-end web applications.
Experience with Jenkins, Harness, SonarQube, Checkmarx
Experience with PCF
Familiarity with designing solutions that prioritize usability and end-user satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with designers and deliver pixel-perfect implementations of UX and visual designs.
Proficiency in test-driven development practices and delivering reliable, maintainable code.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and a risk management mindset.
