Gummi World Engineering and Maintenance Manager in Chandler, Arizona

Gummi World is in search of a strong Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for the management of a variety of activities associated with Production Equipment Maintenance in a gummy manufacturing facility, which includes making and packaging operations under cGMP regulations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishes Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules and instructions.

  • Works with Production to schedule planned downtime for repairs and machine improvements.

  • Coordinates on-call and weekend coverage between team members to support production maintenance needs.

  • Leads and takes initiative to improve maintenance capabilities and efficiency.

  • Works with Engineering to conduct root cause analysis and in-depth failure analysis of breakdowns and process failures.

  • Interprets, recommends, and executes continuous improvement projects to meet output targets.

  • Partners with outside vendors to complete larger facilities or equipment improvement projects.

  • Develops and reports to key metrics such as number of work orders open/complete, PM compliance, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), etc.

  • Flows to work and assists with completion of maintenance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electric repairs.

  • Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.

  • Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.

  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.

  • Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, MS Excel and related communication tools.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

  • Self-motivated with attention to detail.
