Egan Company Operations Manager (Fire & Security) in Champlin, Minnesota
Egan Company is searching for an Operations Manager to lead the Fire & Security team within our Servicedepartment in Champlin, MN! The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing project execution, team performance, and operational processes to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and customer care standards. Responsibilities: Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and performance reviews to foster a high-performing team. Manage team workload and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution. Recruit, hire, and train qualified team members, including project managers and estimators. Drive a top-notch employee and customer experience. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Review and approve project plans, schedules, and cost estimates. Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Manage inventory levels and procurement processes to ensure timely project execution. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon quality standards. Stay up to date with latest industry trends, trade updates, means and methods etc. Monitor project profitability and identify areas for cost reduction. Prepare and analyze financial reports to assess the team's performance and identify trends. Operates in the overall best interest of Egan Company. Collaborates with other Egan business groups, corporate departments and industry/trade organizations to develop strong relationships and partnerships. Promote a positive safety culture and ensure accountability to safety expectations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and project partners; regularly check in (i.e. in person visit, lunch) with customers and project partners. Champion Egan's Mission, Vision, and Values and strategic direction; lead by example. Visit jobsites and customer sites regularly. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience with fire/life safety and security systems, with at least 3 years in a management/supervisory role. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Qualifications: Strong understanding of fire and security systems, industry standards, and best practices. Strong communication skills, ability to navigate and resolve conflict effectively; ability to grow long-term relationships. Proven track record of managing successful projects and teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Working Conditions: Performance of duties will mostly be in an office environment with visits to job sites as needed. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements. Climbing ladders/stairs, walking on uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
