The Pavilion is seeking a talented and dynamic Director of Clinical Services to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!

The Pavilion Behavioral Health System has been the leading provider of behavioral health and addictions treatment for families in Illinois since 1989. Located in Champaign, Illinois, we provide a secure, nurturing environment where children, adolescents, adults and senior adults can find hope and healing from emotional, psychiatric and addictive diseases. Our facility includes a 110 bed inpatient hospital, a residential treatment center for youth and a residential addictions treatment program. Outpatient services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, as well as The Pavilion Foundation School, a private day school serving students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. The Pavilion is located in Champaign, IL, within minutes of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus.

Our dedicated and compassionate staff provide therapeutic programming options that include individual, group and family therapy. We also offer activity and recreational therapy, psychoeducational groups and medical intervention services.

Position Summary:

The Director of Clinical Services assesses the quality of Clinical service provision to patients and families. Assures maintenance of standards of quality clinical services as defined by professional bodies, the Joint Commission and the Certified Medicaid Services (CMS). Provides direct clinical services to patients and families as a backup to social workers. Assures social services representation at treatment planning conferences and staffing in all programs. Develops social work forms and systems.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work required.

Leadership:

  • Minimum5 years post licensure experience with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience successfully leading a multidisciplinary inpatient behavioral health treatment team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Development and management of the full continuum of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and traditional outpatient services.

  • Adult and child populations

  • Mental health and substance use populations

  • Program development and implementation

  • Clinical outcomes management with clinically significant improvement and high patient satisfaction

  • Evidence of high employee engagement and satisfaction

Licensure/Certification: PhD, PsyD Licensed Psychologist, or Illinois Clinical Social Work License; LCSW.

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice. Knowledge of theory and practice of psychosocial assessments. Able to work cooperatively with other hospital staff and involved community agencies. Good organization skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.
