Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Network Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be a core participant for our network infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices

  • Monitor network performance and ensure integrity

  • Resolve escalated support issues by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure

  • Leverage and design automated tasks and monitor their effectiveness

  • Work with team members on technical issues

  • Communicate with end users/peers across the globe to help resolve issues

  • Maintain and update complete technical documentation

  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 5+ Years Industry-related experience as a Network Engineer designing and deploying functional networks

  • Professional certification (e.g. CCNA)

  • Solid understanding of network operating systems (e.g. Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS, Juniper JUNOS)

  • Solid background in network administration and architecture

  • Azure and AWS Cloud networking knowledge and experience

  • Understanding of communication internet protocols and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF) (emphasis on BGP)

  • Familiarity with access control models and network security

  • Knowledge and application of coding languages for scripting and automation (e.g. Python, Ansible)

  • Familiarity with DevOps philosophies, practices, and tools

  • Knowledge of monitoring protocols (e.g. SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX)

  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. Logic Monitor)

  • Sharp troubleshooting skills

  • Organizational skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN

  • Nautobot familiarity and use with automation

Salary Range:

$52,700.00 - $92,200.00
