ABOUT CASCADE:

Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.

 

We are looking for a Behavioral Support Specialist (Clinician I), to join our Expanded Community Services (ECS) team! You will provide behavioral support and crisis intervention for clients in Home and Community Services supported living environments who have been identified as in need of Expanded Community Services.

 

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

This position will normally require that the employee work a standard forty (40) hour week.  This position is classified as being "non-exempt" according to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

TRAVEL:

Travel is required for this position to respond to crisis calls. Must be physically and legally able to drive.

 

PAY SCALE:

$21.50 - $26.21 DOE

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling or the social sciences required.
  • Three years' experience in providing mental health services required.
  • Washington State Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor credential required.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check, national background check may be required if have not lived in WA State consecutively the last three years.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures' handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.
  • Must maintain current phone number and mailing address with the human resources department.

     

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide behavioral support to clients and staff at adult family homes to assist in maintaining community placement. These sessions will primarily be face to face.
  • Develop and maintain behavioral support and crisis plans for ECS clients.
  • Track psychiatric medications and provide documentation of such to the identified prescriber. Collaborate and request necessary records from client's primary behavioral health prescriber so telepsychiatry has necessary information for medication reviews. Facilitate appointments for ongoing medication review.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with agency and program policy.
  • Meet service deliveries as described in ECS contract and assigned by program supervisor.
  • Must be legally able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures handicapped accessibility of lack thereof.
