Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager to lead a newly launched team focused on driving incremental revenue growth within the Data Center (DC) ecosystem. As the Sales Manager for this vertical, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales development team, creating and executing sales strategies, and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to maximize opportunities within the Comcast West Division footprint. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our Data Center business and driving sustained growth. Please note this role will support Comcast Business and our West Division with 25-50% travel required.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintains expertise on Company's products/services to effectively manage team Sales of Comcast Ethernet, Internet, Voice and TV services to enterprise customers ranging from 20-500 employees as well as medical and education institutions.

  • Develops and monitors sale promotions and incentives to meet business goals and objectives. Ensures team and Individual Rep achievement of all sales, plus quality, goals and standards.

  • Ensures competence and continuity of qualified Enterprise Account Executives through optimum selection, training and development and appraisal and motivation techniques.

  • Possesses excellent knowledge of Company's products/services, pricing practices and selling skills to effectively oversee regional sales deployment of new products and services that target the enterprise segment.

  • Manages records of individual, as well as group, sales and performance activities relative to business goals and objectives. Ensures accurate forecasts of annual, quarterly and monthly revenue and unit numbers through experience with processing and analyzing of data.

  • Manages employee performance; counsels and advises to ensure compatibility, maximum effectiveness and continued growth on a constant basis. Addresses personnel issues/performance issues in accordance with Company policy.

  • Identifies and implements improvements in business processes yielding, increased sales performance and/or operational efficiency. through excellent time management, decision-making and human relations skills.

  • Participates to help manage and monitor Business Services Enterprise Direct Sales channels within budgeted sales and expense targets.

  • Develops and ensures implementation of best practices that contribute to improved performance and overall success.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Key Areas of Focus:

1. Build and Lead a High-Performing Sales Team:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a new sales team focused on generating incremental revenue growth within the Data Center vertical.

  • Preference in remote monitoring & management.

  • Set clear performance expectations, establish KPIs, and monitor team performance to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-energy team culture focused on innovation, accountability, and customer success.

2. Develop and Manage a Data Center Sales Strategy:

  • Create and implement a strategic sales plan tailored to the unique needs of the Data Center ecosystem and its tenants.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within the West Division footprint, leveraging market insights and customer needs.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop customized solutions that address the specific requirements of Data Centers and their tenants.

3. Establish and Nurture Collaborative Engagement with DC Partners:

  • Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with Data Center operators and key ecosystem partners.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and DC partners, identifying shared goals and opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with DC partners to co-develop strategies that maximize market potential and deliver value to tenants.

4. Foster Internal Partnerships and Drive Operational Excellence:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to align resources and ensure the success of sales opportunities.

  • Identify and evaluate future Data Center investment opportunities based on market demand and growth potential.

  • Drive process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance the overall support environment for the Data Center business

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $111,540.00 - $185,900.00

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.

Targeted Commission: $70,000

Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
