Collins Aerospace is looking for a Program, Planning & Control Analyst to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA! We are seeking an experienced financial professional who seeks a rewarding role on a team responsible for Mission Systems MIDS Product line, focused primarily on development and investments. Integrated Program Planning & Control is a group that specializes in cost capture, program performance, compliance, and forecasting. No two days are ever the same!

This position will interact with all functions of the enterprise, including Program Management, Engineering, Financial Planning, Contracts and Operations. This is an excellent position for an individual who wants to be integral part of a team that is directly responsible for program execution. Opportunities to interact with Collins Aerospace upper management, as well as external customers and government agencies are an additional benefit.

This role is onsite at our Cedar Rapids, IA location and may be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective financial administrative planning and control on fixed price and cost predeterminable development programs.

  • Develop program Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for earned value / project management purposes.

  • Establish a MIL-STD-881 compliant Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS) and CWBS Dictionary.

  • Perform analysis of program cost and schedule performance, identifying trends, and providing information to Project Leadership Team (PLT) and corrective action implementation.

  • Prepare and submit customer cost & schedule related data items. Establish good work relationship with customers.

  • Prepare and analyze contract Estimates at Complete (EACs) and complete financial support to assigned program teams.

  • Support Program Management in assessing program risks and opportunities.

  • Accommodate unexpected events, achieve critical deadlines with quality results and perform as a flexible team member in support of business objectives and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Program Leadership Team to analyze, prepare and input monthly sales, profit, and milestone billing forecasts and perform same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP).

  • Provide variance analysis of monthly sales, costs, profit, schedule and milestone billing forecast in comparison to prior and plan. Perform same effort for AOP/SFP.

  • Display good verbal and written communication skills, be a team player, and have good working knowledge of company business systems and policies, contracting processes and earned value management techniques.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with Earned Value Cost Engines/Software (SAP, Cobra, EVMS forProject, etc) preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project

  • Knowledge of Schedule Risk Assessments

  • Program controls and EVMS background

  • Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts

  • Ability to travel

  • Ability to obtain security clearance

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
