Community Health Systems Medical Assistant - OB/GYN Clinic in CEDAR PARK, Texas
Weare seeking an experienced Medical Assistant(MA) to join our team at our OB Clinic!
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a pleasant manner
Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
Assist patients as needed with health questionnaires
Escort patients to examination rooms
Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
Clean and sterilize instruments
Set up supplies in procedure room
May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
Cross-train to cover front desk when coverage is needed
May be required to float to other clinics as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent
American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinicsetting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
