Job Description

Currently hiring a Human Resources Generalist who carries recruiting and staffing background.

Position is located in Cedar Park

Pay between $20-25/ph

Hours; 8am -5pm

Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with hiring managers to identify, recommend, and pursue effective candidate sourcing strategies. Develops and implements customized recruitment plans to including advising and coaching managers on event participation, interviewing, and selection. Provides direction and guidance to ensure positions are appropriately classified, vacancies are posted and filled in an accurate, efficient and timely manner; and collaborates with hiring managers to identify, recommend, and pursue effective candidate sourcing strategies.

  2. Posts job vacancies. Screens employment applications/resumes and supporting documents; determines if applicants meet minimum qualifications; refers applications to hiring supervisors and conducts phone screens and interviews; and maintains ongoing communication with hiring supervisors throughout the job posting process.

  3. Reviews, analyzes, and makes determinations on actions affecting classification changes to include job postings and audit requests. Reviews/composes/revises Functional Job Descriptions (FJD-s) and designates Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) codes. Assists with salary surveys.

  4. Conducts onboarding activities for selected candidates (e.g., background check, reference checks, job offers, pre-employment drug test). Conducts New Employee Orientation; collects and processes new hire paperwork.

  5. Provides consultative and technical assistance to others (staff, community organizations, general public, auditors) on policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, or requirements; interprets and communicates HR policies and procedures to management on classification matters, career ladders, hiring and/or retention needs and on any related issues. Trains agency staff on the hiring process, job classification, and career ladders through HR trainings, other forums, or one-on-one as requested.

  6. Plans, develops, and implements special projects, such as career ladders, and/or hiring policy and procedures and implementation of changes to procedures, workforce reductions, job audits, or other assigned projects.

  7. Analyzes requests for exceptions to established procedures and submits recommendations to management; addresses complex issues and resolves problems and/or complaints.

  8. Identifies and participates in diversity outreach at universities, public schools, and community events. Establishes network of contacts to promote company employment opportunities and internships. Conducts information sessions, workshops, or training to increase awareness of ETS-Lindgren positions and the required degrees and skills.
