Performs all phases of maintenance and repairs to facilities, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and the grounds. Operates all types of equipment, including mowers, trimmers, trucks, and other gas operated equipment. Duties include electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and daily preventative maintenance (cleaning/inspecting) of park facilities and grounds. Assists in the enforcement of park rules and regulations. Provides customer/visitor services and assists with camping registration. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduation from High School or GED. Experience: Three years facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance experience. Licensure: Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid State drivers license. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS: Experience: Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience, with a maximum substitution of two years. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Experience in electrical and plumbing repair; Experience in customer service and/or public relations; Experience in mechanical equipment operation and service/repair.
