Kuehne+Nagel KC Finance GL and Reporting Team Leader in Cebu, Philippines

Your Role

Kuehne+Nagel's Knowledge-Center for General Ledger and Reporting (KCGL) will be based in Cebu, Philippines and will be responsible for all Asia and Pacific entities within KN group. You will be responsible in close co-operation with the KC Finance GL & Reporting Team Leader for performing and timely execution of tasks related to GL and Reporting. You will be responsible for performing day to day tasks, month end closing, as well as ensuring strict adherence to the Corporate Finance and Accounting Guidelines, policies, and standard procedures for an accurate financial reporting, safeguarding of assets, and timely submission of the financial reporting to Corporate Reporting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement effective procedures toensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial information,

  • Identify control gaps, assessrisks, and recommend control enhancements to mitigate potential controlweaknesses in the

  • Internal Control System (ICS),

  • Monitor KPIs to drive continuousimprovement,

  • Coordinate the daily activitiesof the Accounting and Reporting department and ensuring that all majorprojects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately andwithin the set deadlines by Corporate Reporting,

  • Follow and adhere to Corporate Financeand Accounting Guidelines,

  • Ensuring that all accountingprocesses align with IFRS and Corporate Accounting and FinanceGuidelines,

  • Maintaining accurate and completefinancial records and coordinate audits and reconciliations,

  • Identify opportunities forautomation and optimizations of activities,

  • Review, investigate, and correcterrors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports,

  • Ensuring all statutory accountswill be submitted on set deadlines for all companies in scope,

  • Tax computations to be finalisedfor legal entities in the year-end reporting packages,

  • Maintenance of tax and statutorybooks monthly via respective adjustment entries,

  • Prepare, review, and analyze StatutoryFinancial Statements including notes and submission to internal andexternal parties when required,

  • Coordinate the relationship withexternal consultants and audit companies,

  • Accomplishes accounting humanresource objectives by recruiting, and onboarding,

  • Develop staff by managingperformance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training,

  • Work with external auditors toensure correct, and timely closing, and reporting at year-end,Assisting in the implementationof reconciliation of IC transactions for transfer pricing process forthe countries in scope,

  • Main tasks during the transition periodinclude but are not limited to:(a) Support in preparation of alist of current and new processes to be transferred,(b) Coordinate transitionprojects,(c) Implement existing workinginstructions,(d) Support in preparation ofrespective SLAs, (e) Support in preparation therecruitment process, (f) Introduce new joiners to theprocesses, (g) Retention/enhance teamstructure-

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics

  • Qualification at respective country CPA, ACCA, CIA is preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Accounting and Reporting working experience in a multinational organization

  • Excel advanced skills

  • Knowledge of office based IT tools

  • Ability to work independently

  • Presentation and Interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills, proactive approach

  • Planning and Organizational skills

  • Strong Leadership skills

  • Vast knowledge of all local tax regulations, and IFRS

  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken

  • Establish strategic relationship with interdependent areas and teams

  • Flexible to travel

  • Flexible to work after hours when required
