Description
The Microwave R&D team at Knowles Precision Devices is responsible for supporting research and development activities of new microwave and RF products for applications in telecom, aerospace and defense markets. This position is a hands-on role, providing support for new product development through laboratory analysis and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On testing and assembly of RF devices
Collect and analyze data in support of engineering; making use of equipment such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, XRF, X-Ray, various ovens and microscopic measurement tools
Take detailed notes on configuration of experiments, data, deviations from expected results and changes to schematics as they occur
Documentation of new processes and experimental procedures
Support root cause and lab analysis of devices and materials
Support training production personnel on the proper use of new equipment and procedures
Support project-based product development teams
Perform data collection and analysis to monitor relevant trends
Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA
Support customer delivery commitments through continuing communication and problem resolution
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
5+ Years’ experience in electronics manufacturing with experience: testing RF devices, solder assembly of electrical components, ESD protocols
Additional experience preferred with hybrid microelectronics assembly, wire bonding, thin-film or board-level (PCB) fabrication such as photolithography, dicing, wet plating, laser machining
Must have demonstrated ability to read and analyze basic engineering drawings and schematics with guidance
Must have the ability to train others and work as a member of inter-disciplinary teams
Must have basic computer skills with the ability to collect, interpret and present data electronic data to team members
Must be able to perform lab duties in an ISO certified clean room, meeting gowning, and EHS requirements, while standing for long periods.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Have ability to adapt and learn new skills due to continually changing work environment
Seeking a self-starter with the ability to work with basic supervision and a sense of urgency to meet team goals, with a strong attention for details

Must be a U.S. citizen. Security Clearance application required upon hire.
