Sutter Health Nursing Assistant - Float Pool in Castro Valley, California
Position Summary - The Nursing Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living; provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The hospital has 130 beds, all in private rooms. Eden is the regional trauma center for Southern Alameda County and features many centers of excellence, including neurosciences, orthopedics, rehabilitation, birthing center, imaging, stroke and cancer care.
Education: Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program or Surgical Instrument Technician Program required. High School Diploma preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Active CA CNA Certificate and Basic Life Support Certification - BLS required.
Experience: 2 years CNA experience or Operating Room experience required. Previous experience in direct patient care preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Assist with lifting, supporting, maneuvering and adjusting the position of patients weighing over 200 pounds.
Handle occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
Handle varying and unpredictable situations.
