Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Building Maintenance Manager in Cass Lake, Minnesota

Position Description: Building Maintenance Manager Division: Facilities Maintenance Reports to: Facilities Maintenance Custodial Supervisor Worksite: Government Center Work Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, and as needed LLBO Status: Exempt Safety Sensitive: Yes License/Certification Requirements: Valid MN Class D Driver's License, current insurance or be insurable. Summary: Will provide oversight of complete maintenance of the Government Center and future facilities. Education Requirements and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) required. 5 years general supervisory experience is required. Duties/Responsibilities: Ensures the cleanliness of the Government Center. Create and maintain maintenance schedules for all aspects of the Government Center, including but not limited to; Heating, Cooling, landscaping, emergency evacuation, elevators and security system. Create and maintain general maintenance schedules for all floors, walls, entries, carpet, rugs, windows, etc. Update and maintain security/fire systems and audio/video surveillance. Performs general maintenance/repairs to facility hardware such as doors, locks, door handles, knobs, etc. Ensures maintenance of the grounds, including but not limited to; cleanliness, lawn maintenance and light snow removal, keeping sidewalks debris free and safe. Ensures that the building is open and operational for employees and constituents by 7:00 am, daily. Coordinates the completion/modifications needed of special uses rooms within new facilities such as work out rooms, shower rooms, etc. Maintains and secures free office space and coordinates the move-ins and move-outs of these spaces. Ensure assigned staff members are properly trained in all aspects of required duties. Maintain safe operational condition of all equipment to include but not limited to; buffers, shampooers, vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers and trimmers. Completes all necessary employment related paperwork and documentation for assigned staff members. Create and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports to direct supervisor as required and requested. Document and submit any incident and/or accident reports as needed. Perform any of the required duties/responsibilities on any LLBO owned or operated facilities as requested. Attend and or conduct all mandatory meetings and trainings as required. Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times. Travel in and out of the state on a possibly regular basis. Understanding and sensitivity to Native American culture. Adhere to policies governing staff conduct. All other related duties as assigned.
