We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Memory Care Unit team at Searstone Retirement Community.

Both full-time (30-40 hours/week) and part-time (10-29 hours/week) positions are available to accommodate various scheduling needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, demonstrating both clinical expertise and emotional intelligence.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses.
• Help transport patients within the facility and assist with mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas to promote a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and concerns.
• Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with healthcare protocols.
• Support senior care initiatives by engaging with elderly patients compassionately.

Skills

• Experience in senior care or home care settings is preferred..
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices in acute care environments.
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Empathy and patience when dealing with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
