Job Information

UL, LLC Materials Engineer - Wire and Cable in Carugate, Italy

  • You will support the team with certification of Wire and Cable products ensuring that they are produced and certified in compliance with the relevant Safety Standards.

  • You will provide general information on UL TIC services along with promoting and explaining the benefits of new and existing services.

  • You will discuss project scope and specifications such as cost, duration time, sample requirements, test methods, completion date etc.

  • You will identify and determine client needs, analyze data, product construction, technical issues and explain ULs procedures and requirements to clients.

  • You will support establishing appropriate test programs in collaboration with our Laboratory Technicians.

  • You will keep our clients updated on any issues or concerns that might impact or change the project scope or specifications.

  • Must have:

    • Technical college degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).

    • Very good command of spoken and written English.

    • Client-centric, Agile, collaborative, taking pride and striving for excellence.

  • Nice to have but not a must:

    • Experience in working at a Wire/Cable manufacturing or testing company.

    • Technical knowledge of cables construction.

    • Good command of spoken and written Italian.
