Program Manager

Plans, monitors and manages internal programs from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates programs, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people alignment. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program

  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization for its employees or customers.

  • Participates in all aspects of contracted programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing recommendations, and performance.

  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.

  • Monitors the work of program or project staff to ensure that work is completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.

  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.

  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.

  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.

  • Works as liaison to contracting organization / customer.

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field

  • Impact is on the entire project and Business Unit/function .

  • Other duties as assigned .

    Education:

  • Associates Degree. (required)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business. (preferred)

    Experience:

  • Equivalent combination of relevant Education & Experience. (required)

  • 3-5 years' experience . (required)

  • Must have working knowledge of Defense Industry in munitions, with demilitarization technology knowledge preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project)
