Phoenix Air Parts Department Associate-General Aviaiton in Cartersville, Georgia
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for the purchasing of aircraft parts and supplies, shipping and receiving, inventory and tool controls, and providing logistical and administrative support to the entire general aviation department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement of aircraft parts and supplies; to include researching, price shopping, ordering, tracking, receiving, and completion of purchase orders. Ensure proper pricing and charges are billed to the appropriate work order. Process vendor billing relative to aircraft parts and supplies purchases; research billing discrepancies if necessary. Assist the office administrative assistant with monthly reconciliations. Package, ship, monitor and receive parts/components sent out for repair, cores, and returns. Schedules, ships/transports, receives/returns test equipment for calibration and performs user maintenance on assigned equipment while maintaining tool calibration certification files. Manage the accuracy and control of inventory aircraft parts; perform periodic and year end hard counts. Manage the AWP (Awaiting Parts Program) for deferred squawks and/or upcoming maintenance for designated aircraft/customers. Manage the control of special tools inventory/accountability program. Administers the CTK (Consolidated Tool Kits) Program to include marking and inspecting tools and toolboxes, controls replacement tools, and maintains special tool inventories. Pull and deliver parts/bench stock to mechanics. Stores, issues, and controls hazardous materials. Manages oil sample/analysis program. Order office and hangar supplies for General Aviation as needed. SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma / GED Working use of Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Working knowledge of general aviation maintenance with some exposure to aircraft parts procurement. (preferred) Skilled in providing quality customer service. Purchasing, inventory, and shipping and receiving experience (preferred aviation experience). Experience with work-orders and/or aviation maintenance terminology. (preferred) Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to details. Ability to work flexible hours, if required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Talk and/or hear throughout the day. Sitting is required regularly throughout the day. Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and/or crouching as needed. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus throughout the day.
