Description
Robert Half is seeking a Medical Biller with Epic experience for our client in Carson City. We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the healthcare industry, located in Carson City, Nevada. The role primarily involves maintaining patient revenue and guarantor coverage, processing patient registrations, and using Epic software for medical billing.
Responsibilities:
• Execute patient registration and maintain updated coverages
• Utilize Epic software for the purpose of medical billing, certification preferred
• Engage in ambulatory billing for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)
• Conduct statement intervention to ensure accurate financial records
• Leverage your understanding of revenue cycle processes, with a focus on the patient revenue cycle
• Utilize your knowledge of Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) to ensure accurate coverage for patients
• Maintain a strong focus on patient guarantor coverage
• Implement accounts receivable (AR) and billing functions for efficient financial operations
• Administer claim administration and appeals as necessary

Requirements
• MUST have recent experience with EPIC.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, and Claim Administration.
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions.
• Certification in Epic and Epic Ambulatory is preferred.
• Familiarity with Fqhc and Patient Registration procedures.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle Processes and HealthCare Revenue Cycle.
• Prior experience in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
