Southland Industries Finance Manager, Corporate Finance in Carrollton, Texas
POSITION SUMMARY
Join our team as a Senior Accounting Manager! Lead a talented team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining robust accounting systems. Utilize your expertise to drive efficiency and accuracy while providing guidance to other departments. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 7+ years of experience, Sales and Use Tax experience, construction accounting background, systems implementation, extensive ERP knowledge, and expertise in budget forecasting and reporting. What you’ll do:
Recruit, coach, and counsel employees; communicate job expectations; monitor, appraise, and review job contributions; plan and review compensation actions; communicate and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Develop, implement, and maintain organization-wide accounting structures and systems to ensure financial/asset security and compliance with all state and federal laws as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Oversee and monitor daily operations of assigned areas to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting systems and internal controls
Monitor financials. Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data. Prepare standard and special reports
Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and making recommendations

Cross-functional knowledge of business and accounting
Able to influence and lead a team to expected outcomes
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate across all levels
Able to analyze and resolve complex issues
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Process orientation with a focus on quality and efficiency
Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
What you bring to the table:
Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required
7+ years of accounting experience preferred
