Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Carrollton, Texas
Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in Carrollton, Texas. The role involves ensuring project deadlines are met, reviewing contracts for compliance, reconciling bank statements, and assisting in the preparation of monthly operating reviews.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee project timelines to ensure audits, government programs, cost reports, and other projects are completed by due dates
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with all stipulations
• Conduct bank reconciliations, with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform daily cash reconciliation tasks
• Undertake data entry tasks to maintain accurate records
• Assist Senior Accountant in compiling data and preparing the presentation for monthly operating reviews
• Analyze expenses and devise strategies to reduce costs
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze data
• Learn and grow skills within the accounting field
• Navigate Excel and other accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing is essential
• Must have strong skills in Data Entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is a plus
• Must be able to work in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is required
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work is expected
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is necessary
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
