We are currently seeking a reliable and detail- oriented Bookkeeper's Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our Bookkeeper with daily financial tasks and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Position Overview: The Bookkeeper Assistant will work closely with the Bookkeeper to assist in managing our financial operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, and assisting with financial reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and bookkeeping within a thriving automotive sales environment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with daily data entry of financial transactions into accounting software. * Support the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. * Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. * Help maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable. * Prepare and organize financial documents for review and filing. * Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and statements. * Handle routine administrative tasks related to bookkeeping, such as filing and correspondence. * Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding financial matters. Qualifications: * Previous experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role is a plus but not required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is desirable. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. * Good organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. * Basic understanding of accounting principles is an advantage. * High school diploma or equivalent; some coursework or certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
