VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician in Carmel, Indiana
VCA Companion Animal Medical Center technician team is growing, and we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician !
At VCA Companion Animal Medical Center, we help pets live long, healthy and happy lives. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners. We are a full-service facility offering Preventative/Routine care, Surgery and Dental procedures, and Urgent care.
Overall Responsibility: Our technicians and support team members are all gentle animal lovers who treat your pets with the compassion and respect they deserve Our team is dependable, adaptable, fun, detail oriented and great multitaskers. Our RVTs provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients.
Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.
Venipuncture and IVC placement
Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.
Complete estimates, basic record keeping.
Surgical preparation and assisting.
Anesthesia monitoring.

Compensation: Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Schedule: Full-time opportunities available . Schedule is four 10-hour shifts with rotating Saturdays.
