CNO Financial Group Sr Investment Operations Analyst in Carmel, Indiana

Salary Range : $84,800 - $127,200 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s 40|86 Advisors is hiring a Sr Investment Operations Analyst to provide direct support to mid-level business or functional leaders of 40|86 Advisors and is also responsible for identifying process improvements and value-added project work while maintaining business continuity and timely reporting. The Investment Operation processes occur within a SOX audit-controlled environment and the work requires significant judgment, quality documentation, and quality communication skills.

This is your opportunity for regular interaction with 40|86 and CNO Financial Group senior leaders and internal/external auditors.

As a Sr Investment Operations Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development and adherence of controls within the Investment Operations group and assisting in certain investment operations processes.

  • Ensuring SOX key controls are adhered to, design and implement new internal controls as needed.

  • Working with internal and external auditors regarding Investment Operation internal controls and testing work.

  • Interfacing with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, broker dealers in support of investment decisions.

  • Providing detailed analytical and evaluative review of investment data.

  • Conducting Fixed Income and Option trade processing.

  • Performing mortgage loan set-up and payment processing.

  • Completing collateral review and processing.

The Sr Investment Operations Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Are qualitative and quantitative orientated.

  • Have strong business acumen, analysis skills, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excel with new, complex, and evolving tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Possess outstanding problem solving and project management skills.

  • Are knowledgeable of financial and investment principles and practices.

  • Hold proven and effective business partnering skills with ability to support mid-level business or functional leaders.

What you’ll need:

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Oracle BI skills.

  • Familiarity with investment systems such as Bloomberg, WSO Markit.

  • Understanding of and experience with SOX internal controls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.

  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.

  • Ability to work in office at our Carmel, IN office.

What will set you apart:

  • MBA or equivalent master’s degree.

  • Certified Public Accountant.

  • Seven years of professional relevant work experience within investment finance.

This role is affiliated to the (Birmingham / Carmel / Chicago / Orlando / Milwaukee) corporate office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office.
