Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Carmel, California
Description Are you a talented Accounting Manager? You might be the candidate Robert Half is looking for to work with a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. In this role, it will be critical for you to lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is a permanent employment opportunity, based in the Carmel, California area.
Key responsibilities
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook Requirements - Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Recent relevant financial experience
Practical knowledge of Rental Properties
General familiarity with Rent Rolls
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
QuickBooks experience desired
Adeptness in Annual Financial Reporting
Background working with journal entries
Expertise in QuickBooks Pro
Rent Collection experience highly preferred
Financial reporting experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Records
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
