Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Technical Application Scientist HID who demonstrates exceptional work behaviors and drive to join our world-class Information Technology team. Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical application support for human identification (HID) instruments and reagents
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement new technologies and products
Provide flawless technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers
Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in our Customer Relationship Management system and assist in the development of continuous improvement.
Proactively determine customer needs and provide innovative solutions
Keep up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements in HID technology
Participate in training on products and continuing education on our new applications and technologies.
Job Requirements:
2+ years laboratory experience.
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably in forensic sciences or a related area required. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Proven experience in forensic applications and troubleshooting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ambitious and self-motivated with a passion for driving innovation
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
Fluent in English. Additional European languages are an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $66,000.00–$99,000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
